Instructions on Filling up at the Mobile Biofueler

Filling your tank with the mobile biofueler is almost as easy as filling up at the gas station; there are a few differences, though, so here are step by step isntructions.

1. Unlock the brown security box at the back of the trailer.  If you need the combination, call Jim or Elichai.

2. Open valves: open the two red- handled valves. One is inside the brown security box; the other is next to the filter, outside the box.

3. Record current fuel meter: look at the 'odometer' for gallons, and write that down in the current "Fuel Disbursement Log" in the blue folder. This number should match the ending value of the last person to use it. Turn the knob to set the fuel trip-ometer to zero.

4. Electrical connection: connect the pump wire (red fat wire w/ red alligator ) to the positive side of the battery. This is the only connection you should have to make.

5. Put fuel nozzle in gas tank. And lock in the open position (It works just like the nozzle at the gas station- it will lock open, but shutoff when the tank is almost full.)

 6. Raise the lever arm to turn on the pump.  It'll make a noise! and biodiesel will start flowing!

7. When done, turn off pump.

8. ... close valves.

9. ...electrically disconnect pump.

10. Multiply gallons times cost (5.25 / gallon as of Aug. 08) and leave a check in the blue folder.

11. Set lock to different numbers to lock it up.
